Finally a break from the wind

This afternoon the wind stopped blowing. The last two weeks have been ridiculous for running. But today I took advantage of the nicer weather and went out for a hilly 5.8 miles. On the way out, my legs were pretty dead on the way out so somewhere around halfway I decided to stop and stretch. It was just what I needed.

I spent about 10 minutes stretching out my hamstrings and quads and felt 100% better on the way back in. In fact, I ran almost a minute and a half faster on the way back. But more importantly, I felt like I was running again.

With February coming to a close, I'm excited that I logged as many miles as I have and that warmer weather is on the way.
